The mission of the Center for Public Policy Research (CPPR) is to provide state government and other agencies with services essential to inform program policy decisions.

In particular, CPPR:

  • produces literature reviews, policy analyses, formal reports, and technical writing services

  • provides methodological support to state government—offering state agencies access to technical expertise in the fields of sampling theory, statistical methods, and research design

  • has the capability to conduct survey research and research involving experimental design.

  • tracks research related to social policy issues such as child care, welfare sanctions, corrections, and rehabilitation issues

  • organizes conferences and facilitates working sessions
  • offers customized training on key policy issues
